David C. Chaikin, MD, FACS, a clinical Assistant Professor at the New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, is part of the active urology practice in Morristown, New Jersey, and an associate of The Urocenter of New York. He has staff privileges at Morristown Memorial Hospital and New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Chaikin graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelors of science in biology in 1988, and earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. He completed his internship and residency in urology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as a clinical instructor in urology. He then went on to complete a fellowship in female urology, incontinence, and male voiding dysfunction under the direction of world-renowned urologist Jerry G. Blaivas, M.D.
Dr. Chaikin is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Urological Association, and the Society for urodynamics and female urology. Dr. Chaikin has won several awards for his work, including second prize in the Urology resident essay contest. He was named Pfizer Scholar in Urology at the University of Pennsylvania in 1997. Dr. Chaikin has published in several journals including The Journal of Urology and Urology and has presented at numerous medical meetings around the country and abroad.
