Hyman Muss, MD received a B.A in Chemistry (Cum Laude) from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, and his M.D. (Summa Cum Laude) from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Bronx, New York. Dr. Muss continued his medical training at Peter Brent Brigham Hospital, Children's Hospital Medical Center and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, all in Boston, Massachusetts. He also is a bronze-star Vietnam veteran in the United States Army.
Dr. Muss is currently Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and Associate Director of the Vermont Cancer Center. He also serves as Unit Director in Hematology/Oncology at University of Vermont Fletcher Allen Health Care.
Dr. Muss serves on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Medical Science and CURE: Cancer Updates, Research and Education. Dr. Muss is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty Boards in Hematology and Subspecialty Boards in Oncology.
