Dr. David L. Bell is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Babies Hospital at New York Presbyterian Hospital (formerly Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center) and the medical director of The Young Men’s Clinic, a service component of the Center for Population and Family Health within the Joseph L. Mailman School of Public Health. He also provides care for adolescent females within the Family Planning Clinic. He is an Adolescent Medicine physician and works primarily with ages 12-24. He is also the site medical director for school-based clinic at George Washington High School. Formerly he was the medical director of three school-based clinics on the West side of Manhattan associated with the St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital.

He received his M.D. degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas and completed his pediatric residency, including a year as chief resident at New York University/ Bellevue Medical Centers. He completed a fellowship in the Division of Adolescent Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He also received his M.P.H from the University of California, Berkeley in 1997.
