Dr. Ann Carroll is a policy analyst for health and science
issues for the New York State Task Force on Life and the Law (Task Force)
and an employee of Health Research, Inc. The Task Force is a bioethics
commission of the New York State Department of Health that considers policy
issues that result from medical advances.
Dr. Carroll is a former biomedical research scientist
and faculty member of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular
Genetics at Albany Medical College, where she was a recipient of numerous
research grants. She obtained her Ph.D. from Cornell University Graduate
School of Medical Sciences. She studied policy and management at the New
York University Wagner School of Public Service, from which she received
a M. S. degree. She has authored numerous original research and review
articles in biomedical and scientific journals.
