Daniel L. Millrood M.S.P.T. is a specialist in the Movement and Biobehavioral Sciences including Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness. He received an undergraduate degree in Biopsychology at Columbia University, and a Master's degree in Physical Therapy at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. Mr. Millrood also received a Master's degree in Applied Physiology from Teacher's College, Columbia University where he is currently preparing his doctoral dissertation.
Mr. Millrood is a faculty member at New York Medical College, where he teaches kinesiology, orthopedic/musculoskeletal physical therapy and exercise physiology for their physical therapy program. Additionally, he is performing research at The Respiratory and Sleep Physiology Laboratory at the Teacher's College. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as The American Journal of Respiratory, Critical Care Medicine and The European Journal of Applied Physiology. Mr. Millrood has also served as a guest lecturer for the Teacher's College program in applied physiology, and has been an adjunct professor at Long Island University's program in physical therapy.
Mr. Millrood has over 12 years of active clinical practice in both acute and outpatient physical therapy settings. He consistently extends his efforts towards increasing public awareness in the benefits of preventative healthcare, and is a proactive healthcare consumer advocate.
Mr. Millrood was also a nationally-ranked high school and collegiate powerlifter. He has over 20 years experience in competitive sports training.
