Dr. Ainat Beniaminovitz is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City and an Assistant Attending Cardiologist on the Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Service at the New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Benaiminovitz received her undergraduate degree in Biochemiatry from Barnard College in 1986. After receiving her medical degree in 1990 from Columbia’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, she trained in internal medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Mediacl Center, and stayed on an extra year to be Chief Medical Resident. She then completed a fellowship training program in cardiology at Columbia Presbyterian and was also selected to be Chief Cardiology Fellow at the last year of her fellowship.

Dr. Beniaminovitz has since joined the faculty of Medicine as a member of the Division of Circulatory Physiology and helps to run the Cardiac Transplant Program. She participates in several heart failure trials and is interested and has published in the area of new pharamaceutical agents in prevention of acute and chronic rejection of cardiac allografts.
