Dr. Arielle N.B. Kauvar graduated from Princeton University where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi. She pursued her medical education at Harvard Medical School and the Health Science and Technology program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Kauvar completed her dermatology residency at New York University Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and laser surgery. She is a board-certified dermatologist and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. Dr. Kauvar is a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at New York University Medical Center and holds an appointment in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital. She is currently Vice President of the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York.
A featured speaker of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Kauvar has published and lectured extensively on a national and international basis on laser and dermatologic surgery. She is currently editing “Principles and Practices of Cutaneous Laser Therapy”, a comprehensive textbook of laser surgery. Dr. Kauvar has made original research contributions in all aspects of cutaneous surgery. She remains actively engaged in the development and clinical testing of new laser technology and therapeutic laser techniques which are now commonly used throughout the world. Dr. Kauvar has been listed in Castle and Connolly’s “Best Doctor’s in New York” and the “International Who’s Who’s of Professionals”.
