Dr. Adam Hurewitz is currently Director of Clinical Services
of the Pulmonary/Critical Care Division at Winthrop University Hospital
in Mineola, New York and Associate Professor of Medicine at SUNY Stony
Brook School of Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine, and
pulmonary and critical care medicine.
Dr. Hurewitz received his MD degree from New York Medical
College, after which he completed his residency in internal medicine at
Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburg, PA. He then went on to complete his fellowship
in pulmonary and critical care medicine at SUNY at Stony Brook.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Hurewitz
is actively involved with the teaching of medical students and residents.
He has been a recipient of the Outstanding Teacher Award, from the SUSB
School of Medicine multiple times.
